OK, Dr. Trowsdale. Why such a comprehensive E-book?

Back in 1996, three years into this project, I had over 500 pages of bibliographic information and commentaries. It was growing monthly without any end in sight and it was obvious that traditional publication was cost prohibitive and so, out of the question. Fortunately, electronic publishing was on the horizon. By the time I decided to call a halt to further investigation in 2006, the internet and the E-book provided an effective solution to making this material available to anyone interested. And — anticipating FAQs — I decided to ask and answer 16 questions in advance as to why I engaged in this project, what it’s about, how it’s organized and, should you be interested, my background.
